An uptown Saint John restaurant is serving customers once again after major flooding in November.
Cask & Kettle Irish Gastropub on Prince William Street reopened its doors on Friday morning.
“FLOOD is now our least favourite “F” word, so let’s just flood it with customers this time,” the restaurant said in a Facebook post on Thursday.
On Nov. 21, a major flood in the basement of the building, located at the corner of Prince William and Princess streets, rose up into the restaurant.
Video posted to social media at the time showed water pouring out of the business and onto the adjacent sidewalk and street.
The unexpected flood prompted others in the uptown hospitality sector to step up and show their support.
“Again, a HUGE thank you to everyone who contributed to getting us re-opened so fast/smoothly,” said the restaurant’s latest Facebook post.
