Police throughout southern New Brunswick are warning drivers to slow down amid the first snowfall of the winter.
Environment Canada is calling for five to 10 centimetres of snow on Wednesday before it ends around noon.
In a post on its Twitter account, Saint John police asked motorists to drive with caution due to the weather and road conditions.
A similar message was shared by the Kennebecasis Regional Police Force (KRPF).
“Remember, snow means slow!” the force said in its own tweet.
Staff Sgt. Sean Rocca with the Saint John Police Force said officers received five reports of collisions as of 9:35 a.m. Wednesday.
One was reported as a collision with injuries, but Rocca said it was not serious in nature.
“We have also received a number of driving complaints,” Rocca said in an email to our newsroom.
Insp. Anika Becker with the Kennebecasis Regional Police Force said no collisions have been reported so far.
Conditions began to improve on many major roads throughout the region as of early afternoon, though slushy patches were still reported in many areas.
