A popular Christmas concert in Saint John is helping a pair of local charities.
Christmas with the Cops was held at Imperial Theatre over the weekend.
The two shows on Friday and Saturday night raised a total of $44,000.
It is being split between Fresh Start Services for Women and the Shining Horizons Therapeutic Riding Association.
Fresh Start works to prevent homelessness through individualized interventions while providing resources and support for our existing homeless population, women and families, and those living in poverty.
Shining Horizons fills a need in the community for accessible, enjoyable, yet beneficial recreation for youth with physical, neurological and mental health disabilities.
Christmas with the Cops has now raised more than $140,000 for local organizations, such as the Empty Stocking Fund, Romero House, Bobby’s Hospice, the Saint John Regional Hospital Oncology Department and the SPCA.
