Organizers of AREA 506 have unveiled the lineup for this year’s three-day music festival in Saint John.
Nineteen bands will take to the stage during the New Brunswick Day long weekend Aug. 4 to 6.
Rock band Billy Talent will make their first festival appearance as they headline the Saturday night show.
They will be joined by Ontario rock duo Crown Lands, alt-rock band Dear Rouge from Vancouver, and Ontario rock band The Beaches.
Also taking to the stage are three New Brunswick groups: folk/rock band Tooth & the Fang, rock royalty The Monoxides, and emerging bluesy rock band Grouvi from Saint John.
Sunday night’s lineup also features seven acts, including six-time Juno award-winning rock group Sam Roberts Band.
Along with alt-rock duo Neon Dreams and singer-songwriter Ria Mae from Nova Scotia, as well as pop rockers Metric from Ontario.
They will be joined by East Coast hip-hop group City Natives, folk performer Pallmer from Fredericton, and Penny Blacks from Saint John.
The Friday night lineup includes Saskatchewan rock band The Sheepdogs, rock duo The Blue Stones from Ontario, bluesy alt-rock group Les Hôtesses d’Hilaire of Moncton, Saint John’s Austin Eatman Band, and high-energy pop powerhouse Hilary Ladd of Saint John.
