A 29-year-old man from Harewood has been arrested in connection with a series of incidents in Berwick near Sussex.
RCMP tried to pull over a vehicle for a traffic violation on April 4 and while it initially failed to stop, the driver eventually turned into a parking lot.
Officers confirmed the identity of the man who was known to police.
However, the driver drove his vehicle into a police cruiser twice before fleeing.
Police say the cruiser was badly damaged and were unable to follow the driver.
An arrest warrant was later issued for a 29-year-old man on numerous charges including assaulting a police officer, failing to stop for police, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle while prohibited, mischief to a police vehicle, and failing to comply with a probation order.
RCMP located the man at a home in Elgin on Tuesday.
Once again, he attempted to flee from police but he was arrested minutes later without incident.
The suspect appeared in Saint John Provincial Court on Wednesday where he was remanded with another court date set for May 31.
