If your hope is to bag a moose this season, first you’ll need to apply.
Moose draw applications are now being accepted.
It’s a fall tradition in New Brunswick when hunters submit their applications with hopes of being chosen for a moose license.
You may apply now through June 9th.
This year’s draw will have the highest number of licenses to be handed out since 1995, with 5115 available.
The upcoming moose season runs from Sept 26 to 30th.
To apply, you must have an Outdoors Card. Registration for a card may be done online through the Fish and Wildlife Licensing system or in person at an authorized vendor or Service New Brunswick centre after providing proper identification. Applicants who already have a card may avoid delays by logging into their Fish and Wildlife Licensing system account and ensuring their card information is up to date.
Applications for a moose licence may be made by:
- visiting the Department of Natural Resources and Energy Development website, through the Fish and Wildlife Licensing system. The application fee will be billed to the applicant’s Visa, MasterCard or debit account;
- going in person to an authorized vendor; or
- going in person to a Service New Brunswick location.
The cost of applying for a moose licence is $9.55 (HST included). Applications close at 11:59 p.m. on June 9. The results will be available July 4.
