More daily flights are coming to the Saint John Airport (YSJ) just in time for the summer travel season.
Air Canada currently operates two daily flights to the Toronto Person Airport and one to Montreal.
Airport officials said last week that the second daily Montreal flight is set to return on June 18.
The third daily flight to Toronto will come back less than two weeks later on Canada Day.
“We will try to get Air Canada to extend those extra rotations into the fall,” Lori Carle, manager of marketing, public and corporate relations, said in an email.
“However, people need to book as that helps build the case.”
Air Canada cut dozens of flights across the country last summer, including two daily round trips at YSJ.
The southern New Brunswick airport was left with one daily round trip to Toronto and one to Montreal.
In addition to Air Canada, Flair Airlines operates flights three times weekly between YSJ and Toronto. Those flights are scheduled to continue through at least Oct. 28.
