Time is running out to nominate someone for the 2023 New Brunswick Human Rights Award.
The New Brunswick Human Rights Commission says you have until May 31 to get your nomination form submitted.
“I encourage New Brunswickers to submit a nomination for this year’s award and recognize individuals and organizations working to make a difference in our communities,” commission chair Claire Roussel-Sullivan said in a statement.
“Our recipients are role models for New Brunswick residents, as their commitment to equality and non-discrimination make lasting changes in the province’s social fabric and create a welcoming and inclusive place for all New Brunswickers.”
The Human Right Award is presented to New Brunswickers who have made exceptional contributions to advancing human rights, equality, diversity and inclusion.
In addition, the annual Youth Human Rights Award celebrates the commitment of young people to build a better future.
The 2022 Human Rights Award was presented to Mamadou Oury Diallo of Moncton and the Youth Human Rights Award to Cassandra Pitchford of Fredericton.
