Mounties say three people have been charged with murder after a fatal stabbing in Moncton.
Officers were called to a report of a disturbance on Belleview Avenue at around 2:45 a.m. Tuesday.
First responders found a 32-year-old woman in the street suffering from multiple stab wounds.
The victim, who has since been identified as Kyla LaPointe, later died from her injuries in the hospital.
A short time later, Mounties stopped a vehicle which had been seen in the area and arrested the woman and two men inside.
All three appeared in court on Tuesday and were charged with second-degree murder. They include a 38-year-old woman from Fredericton, a 49-year-old man from Fredericton, and a 28-year-old man from Doaktown.
The three accused were remanded into custody and are scheduled to return to court on July 19.
