American forward Egan Beveridge has officially signed with the Saint John Sea Dogs.
Beveridge was the team’s first pick in the 2023 QMJHL Entry Draft held in mid-June.
“I can’t wait to get to Saint John, meet all of my teammates and finally get started,” he said in a news release.
Beveridge played for the Chicago Mission of the High Performance Hockey League last season.
He registered 16 points in 10 regular season games and 10 points in five playoff games.
During the previous season, Beveridge recorded 103 points in 62 games for Mount St. Charles Academy.
Anthony Stella, general manager of the Sea Dogs, said they are thrilled to welcome Beveridge to the organization.
“When a player like Egan who has many options chooses our program to develop as a player, student and person we take great pride and responsibility in that,” said Stella.
“Today is a great day for this team and we will work hard to continue with this momentum.”
