New Brunswick will play host to the 2023 Canadian Junior Girls Golf Championship next week.
Dozens of female golfers from across the country will compete at the Hampton Golf Club.
The annual event produces top-calibre players who later contend for amateur and professional titles.
“Our membership is ready to welcome the best in Canada to this event,” Jon Garron, director of golf at the Hampton Golf Club, said in a news release.
“We have volunteers ready to go, our grounds crew has the course looking great and we look forward to presenting a fair test of golf over four days.”
Top Canadian golfers like Brooke Henderson, Alena Sharp and Sandra Post all saw early success at this event.
Hampton last hosted the Canadian Junior Girls Golf Championship back in 2009, when Henderson made a name for herself by competing against older juniors at such a young age.
“We know that club members are excited and hope to see members of the public come out and see the next generation of great Canadian golfers compete at such a strong venue like Hampton Golf Club,” Dan Hyatt, golf tournament director, said in the release.
The public is welcome to watch the competition live at the course. It starts next Monday and runs through Thursday.
