A St. Stephen man is facing charges after allegedly threatening to burn a house down.
Mounties and the Moores Mills Fire Department responded to a home back on Saturday.
Police were told that an individual had poured gasoline onto their neighbour’s property and threatened to burn their house down.
“The individual then fled the scene before police arrived,” RCMP said in a news release issued on Wednesday.
Just before midnight, police located and arrested a 39-year-old man at a business in the community.
He appeared in Saint John provincial court by way of tele-reman on Sunday and was charged with mischief.
Police said the accused was remanded into custody and has a bail hearing set for Thursday morning.
