NB Liquor and Cannabis NB have released their first-quarter results for the fiscal year.
The liquor corporation saw a slight uptick in product sales for the 13-week period ending July 2.
Draft financial results show total sales were $134.2 million, up 0.4 per cent compared to last year.
But net income for the Crown corporation fell 2.1 per cent year over year to $52.3 million.
Wine, spirit, cooler and cider sales were up during the quarter, while beer sales were down.
Despite the drop, beer still accounted for nearly 43 per cent of all sales last quarter.
That was followed by spirits (22 per cent), wine (20 per cent), coolers and ciders (15 per cent) and non-liquor (0.1 per cent).
NB Liquor processed 1.9 million transactions during the quarter, with customers spending about $40.62 per visit.
Meanwhile, Cannabis NB said it saw a year-over-year increase in product sales and net income.
Total product sales for the quarter came in at $21.9 million, an increase of 11 per cent.
According to the results, net income was up 24.3 per cent year over year to $5.1 million.
Similar to NB Liquor, Cannabis NB reported sales increases in all categories but one: edibles.
Dried flower (52 per cent) and concentrates (30 per cent) account for most of the sales.
That is followed by edibles (6.7 per cent), extracts (3.6 per cent), accessories (3.1 per cent), infused beverages (2.5 per cent), topicals (one per cent), clones (0.6 per cent) and seeds (0.2 per cent).
