DFO seized over 8,000 lobsters and arrested 2 people for Fisheries Act violations.
It happened Wednesday near Moncton, as 110 crates were discovered.
The 2 were later released, they are from Saulnierville.
The lobsters were also released back into St. Mary’s Bay near Meteghan.
Pressure is on the federal government to up enforcement, as out of season lobster fishing has been increasing there once again.
