A Saint John man has been charged in connection with a break-in and theft in Hampton.
RCMP responded to a report of a break, enter and theft from a business on Main Street around 5 p.m. Monday.
“Police later determined that a credit card that had been stolen during the break and enter had been used at a separate business on Main Street,” Mounties said in a news release.
Investigators identified a person of interest later that day and arrested a 27-year-old man, who was allegedly in possession of the stolen items.
The man appeared in court on Thursday and was charged with break, enter and theft, possession of stolen property, and fraudulently using a credit card.
He was remanded into custody and is scheduled to return to court on Wednesday.
