A man is facing charges after Saint John police say a stolen vehicle collided with several police cars.
The incident happened Friday morning after an undercover officer saw a stolen car being driven uptown.
When officers tried to stop the vehicle on Prince William Street, police said the driver drove into a marked police vehicle and reversed into another unmarked vehicle.
“The accused then attempted to flee on foot, but was immediately arrested at the scene for possession of stolen property, dangerous driving, and failing to stop for police,” police said in a news release on Monday.
A 34-year-old man remains in custody and is scheduled to return to court on Friday.
Police said no injuries were reported during the incident.
