If you have an idea to help protect the environment, the New Brunswick government may fund you.
Applications are now being accepted for Environmental Trust Fund projects for next year.
“The Environmental Trust Fund has supported thousands of projects that protect our natural habitat while educating New Brunswickers about the importance of preserving and improving our environment,” said Environment and Climate Change Minister Gary Crossman.
“Along with helping the environment, these projects also spur economic growth by generating jobs each year that help local economies.”
Local governments, community groups, First Nations, non-profit organizations and institutions may apply.
The 2024-25 priority action areas for the fund are:
- Protecting the environment
- Increasing environmental awareness
- Managing waste
- Addressing climate change
- Building sustainable communities
Last year, more than $8.5 million was awarded for more than 200 projects.
The application form and additional information are available online. Only online applications will be accepted, and the deadline is November 30th.
