A celebration of ten years of Wild Lights at the Magnetic Hill Zoo.
Director Jill Marvin says 2023 is a year of Woodland Animals, “We’re featuring species including cougars, caribou, bears and deer. The pathways are all lit up and the animals have the opportunity to come out. It’s a celebration of lights. It is a celebration to join the family together to come out and get a walk and see the beautiful lights .”
Ten of thousands of lights brighten the pathways for the event that runs from December 1 through January 6th.
Visitors are asked to bring along a non-perishable food item or a cash donation during the first two weekends for the Peter McKee Community Food Centre.
Tickets can be purchased online.
“It’s a walk outdoors, so dress accordingly. Most people take 45 minutes to an hour, depending on how many photo shoots they want to do,” Marvin adds.
