Thousands in the province remain without electricity two days after strong winds and heavy rain tore through the province.
NB Power reported 197 separate outages impacting more than 1,100 homes and businesses as of 5 p.m. Wednesday, down from 3,000 customers earlier in the afternoon.
That included 818 customers impacted in the Kennebecasis Valley/Fundy region, 211 in the Kings/Queens region, and 88 in Charlotte Southwest.
According to the utility’s website, it could be late Thursday before some customers have their power restored.
NB Power said on social media that work to restore outages has been challenging, but crews continued to work overnight to get the lights and heat back on.
