Municipalities in the Saint John region have announced their Christmas tree drop-off sites.
Saint John:
The City of Saint John says it will have five sites open for residents from Jan. 1 to 12.
They include:
- Charles Gorman Arena – 80 University Avenue, North
- Crescent Valley – Between 30 and 38 Taylor Avenue, North
- Peter Murray Arena – 711 Dever Road, West
- Forest Hills Ball Field – 651 Westmorland Road, East
- Old Sugar Refinery – 330 Charlotte Street, South/Central Peninsula
South/Central Peninsula residents are advised that the specific drop-off site commonly referred to as the Old Sugar Refinery is located at the very end of Charlotte Street and Vulcan Street. Trees are not to be deposited at the Bulk Terminal Truck Entrance or any other location on Port Saint John property.
Sites will be plowed and maintained for the safety of the public and workers.
If you are unable to drop off a Christmas tree at a designated site, you can remove all decorations and trim, delimb the tree, cut up the trunk and branches into manageable blocks (must be no longer than four feet and must be smaller than the diameter of two inches), and them in your compost cart.
Rothesay:
The Town of Rothesay says residents can choose between four different locations to drop off their Christmas trees until Saturday, Jan. 6.
Those sites include:
- Bill McGuire Centre parking lot
- East Riverside-Kingshurst Park
- Rothesay Arena Front parking lot
- Entrance to the Wells Recreation Park

Quispamsis:
For residents in Quispamsis, there is a drop-off location set up at the Walter Jewett Ball Field parking lot until Sunday, Jan. 7.
Grand Bay-Westfield:
Residents in Grand Bay-Westfield can drop off their Christmas trees at Fire Station 1 on River Valley Drive from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 6.
Hampton:
In the Hampton area, trees can be dropped off on Saturday, Jan. 6, at one of three locations:
- William Bell Drive – blue bins parking lot
- Bloomfield Baptist Church – parking lot
- Nauwigewauk Community Centre – below ball field sign
