The City of Saint John has rescinded its COVID-19 vaccination policy for new employees.
All new hires had been required to show proof of full vaccination or a valid medical exemption.
But council voted Monday night in favour of a resolution to rescind the nearly two-year-old policy.
No reason was given for the resolution, which was adopted during a closed-door session ahead of the meeting.
The vaccination policy only applied to city employees who were hired after March 21, 2022.
