Nineteen people have been charged in connection with a drug trafficking investigation in Greater Moncton.
Mounties say their investigation began in the fall of 2021 and wrapped up in Nov. 2022.
Officers seized cocaine, Shady 8 pills, fentanyl, crystal meth and hydromorphone pills.
In addition, they also found $27,000 in cash, two restricted firearms, and a non-restricted firearm.
Those charged range in age from 25 to 60 years old, according to an RCMP news release issued Friday.
Ryan Shanks, 40, was sentenced to six years behind bars after pleading guilty to trafficking fentanyl, possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl, possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, possession for the purpose of trafficking crystal methamphetamine and several firearms-related offences
A second person, 44-year-old Kenneth Maccallum, was handed four years in jail after pleading guilty to two counts of trafficking cocaine and two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine.
