Family Day is a statutory holiday in New Brunswick, which means many workers will have the day off Monday.
Grocery stores, big-box stores and malls will be closed, including McAllister Place and the Saint John City Market.
If you need a prescription, some drug stores will be open at reduced hours.
NB Liquor and Cannabis NB stores will be closed, but some agency liquor stores will be open.
Provincial and municipal government offices will also be closed, but because Family Day is not a federal holiday, Canada Post offices will be open and mail delivery will take place as scheduled.
Saint John Transit buses will not be running. Garbage and compost collection in the city will follow its regular schedule.
If you are unsure if something is open or operating on Monday, it is best to call ahead.
