RCMP say a man from Shawinigan, Que., has been charged in connection with a child luring investigation in New Brunswick.
Police say they received a report of child luring in Dieppe on Dec. 21, 2023.
Officers identified a suspect and searched a residence in the city on Feb. 15.
Police located and seized digital evidence, and arrested a 37-year-old man at the scene.
He has since been charged with child luring, invitation to sexual touching, and making sexually explicit material available to a child.
The accused was remanded into custody and is scheduled to return to court on Tuesday.
RCMP are still trying to determine if there were other victims. They say the suspect was using the username “TTVSkorp0” on the Xbox game “Dead by Daylight” and on the Discord instant messaging platform.
