Saint John police are releasing new details of the vehicle involved in a suspected arson at a homeless encampment.
Emergency crews were called to a tent fire at an encampment between Waterloo and Exmouth streets on Feb. 18.
Witnesses reported hearing something hit the tent before it caught fire and then heard a vehicle speed away.
A 22-second video released by police two days after the incident showed a car stopping near one of the tents.
One person got out of the front passenger seat and appeared to walk toward one of the tents. Flames could be seen several seconds later as the person walked back toward the car.
Detectives believe the vehicle could be a 2002-2006 Toyota Camry with a sunroof, rear spoiler, and fog lights below the headlights.
Anyone with information about the suspects or the vehicle is asked to contact the Saint John Police Force at 506-648-3333 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
