A home in the Kennebecasis Valley community of Quispamsis suffered significant damage after a fire on Tuesday.
Chief Mike Boyle of the Kennebecasis Valley Fire Department said they were called to Fullyer Drive around 11:30 a.m.
“When the crews arrived on the scene, it was actually an attached garage on a house, and they had pretty heavy fire and smoke conditions,” Boyle said in an interview.
Fire crews from the KV and several neighbouring communities went to work battling the flames.
Boyle said it took firefighters close to an hour to bring the fire under control.
“The homeowners were gone when the fire started, so there are no injuries there,” he said.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation as of Tuesday afternoon, said the fire chief.
