The QMJHL playoffs begin next weekend, and all six Maritimes Division teams will be in action.
The Halifax Mooseheads begin their first-round series at home on Friday against the Acadie-Bathurst Titan at Scotiabank Centre.
The Mooseheads finished in second place in the Eastern Conference, they made the Q-league final against Quebec last year, losing in six games.
The Cape Breton Eagles will have home ice-advantage as the fourth seed against the Rimouski Oceanic, that series begins Friday at Centre 200.
The Moncton Wildcats finished just behind the Mooseheads in third, they draw Chicoutimi for their series, which begins at Avenir Centre on Friday.
The Saint John Sea Dogs are playing in the Western Conference bracket as the eighth seed, they are major underdogs against the top-ranked Drummondville Voltigeurs.
The Charlottetown Islanders are the eighth seed in the East, they’ll face Baie-Comeau.
