Mounties say a series of fires at a wharf in Back Bay, south of St. George, have been deemed arson.
Investigators are also asking for help from the public to identify a person of interest.
Emergency crews were called to a report of a fishing vessel and a truck on fire around 3:30 a.m. Thursday.
Another boat and a structure were also damaged in the fire, according to police.
“Through the investigation, it was determined that the fire had been intentionally set by one individual, who arrived and left the scene on foot before police arrived,” Mounties said in a news release on Friday.
Police released a surveillance footage photograph of the man, who is described as wearing rubber boots, jeans, a black hooded jacket, and gloves.
Anyone who may be able to identify the man or has information about the fires is asked to contact St. George RCMP at 506-755-1130 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
