Saint John police have made two arrests after a vehicle with a small dog inside was stolen.
Officers responded to a call on Adelaide Street in the city’s north end around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.
“The owner reported that she had left her vehicle parked in front of her residence while she quickly went inside to check on something,” police said in a news release.
“When she came back out her vehicle was taken along with her small dog which was in the back seat.”
Officers located the vehicle several hours later in the area of Main Street West and arrested two people inside.
A 20-year-old woman has a court date in July while a 42-year-old man was released without charges.
Police said the dog and vehicle were safely returned to their owner.
