Officials are investigating after an inmate was allegedly assaulted at a New Brunswick prison.
The incident happened at the Atlantic Instituion, a maximum security prison in Renous, on May 13.
Correctional Service Canada said the inmate was transported to an outside hospital for treatement.
Officials said the assailants have been identified and “appropriate actions have been taken.”
The incident remains under investigation by Blackville RCMP and the institution.
