Another Progressive Conservative MLA will not be on the ballot in the next provincial election.
Andrea Anderson-Mason is the 12th PC MLA to confirm she will not be reoffering when voters next head to the polls.
Anderson-Mason, who represents the riding of Fundy-The Isles-Saint John West, confirmed her decision with several media outlets on Friday.
She is one of several Progressive Conservatives MLAs who have butted heads with Premier Blaine Higgs over the past few months.
Last June, Anderson-Mason and five other Tories sided with a Liberal motion calling for more study on changes to Policy 713, the province’s school gender identity policy.
Anderson-Mason was first elected as an MLA in 2018. She spent time as Minister of Justice and Attorney General.
The next provincial election is scheduled to be held on or before Oct. 21.
