Next season’s Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League schedule is out.
The Saint John Sea Dogs will host the Moncton Wildcats for opening day on Sept. 20.
Moncton will play its first home game on Sept. 28 against the Acadie-Bathurst Titan.
In total, each team will play 64 regular season games this year, down from 68 last season.
Saint John and Moncton are both coming off first-round losses in the QMJHL playoffs this past season.
The Sea Dogs were eliminated by Drummondville while the Wildcats were knocked out by Chicoutimi.
The Moncton Wildcats will have some new faces behind the bench this season. Gardiner MacDougall is taking over as head coach, while his son Taylor is the team’s new general manager.
Pre-season action for both teams begins on Aug. 20.
