A man has been arrested after allegedly groping several people at a popular Moncton water park.
RCMP officers were called to Magic Mountain on Mountain Road at around 2 p.m. Sunday.
“When police arrived at the scene, they learned that a man had been walking around the premises, and was groping people,” police said in a news release on Monday.
There were at least 12 victims, according to police, some of whom were under the age of 16.
Police arrested a 25-year-old man who is originally from India but is living in Halifax.
He was later released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 24.
Sgt. Sylvette Hebert said this is an active investigation and they are working to understand if there were other victims.
“We are asking parents to speak to their children if they attended this location on July 7. We also want people to know that a sexual assault complaint can be made at any time,” Hebert said in the release.
Anyone who is a victim or has further information is asked to contact their local police or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
