The co-founder of one of Saint John’s most popular markets has died.
Rhoda Boyce passed away Wednesday at the age of 81, according to her obituary.
She and her husband, Joe, founded Rhoda’s Flea Market back in 1975.
Nearly 50 years later, it continues to thrive with a weekly Sunday market at Exhibition Park.
Rhoda’s also hosts a yearly Christmas Market at TD Station in Saint John.
Visitation is at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home in Quispamsis from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday.
A reception and celebration of life will take place at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Rothesay at 10 a.m. Tuesday, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m.
