The regular season for the Quebec Maraitime Junoir Hockey League (QMJHL) gets underway on Friday.
The Saint John Sea Dogs are set to begin their 20th season at TD Station, starting with a game against the Moncton Wildcats at 7 p.m., on Saturday evening, they’ll host the Halifax Mooseheads.
During an interview with our newsroom, President Trevor Georgie stated he looks forward to seeing the team develop throughout the season.
“Fans are going get to enjoy watching them grow, and one day hoisting the memorial cup or presidents cup over their heads one day,” said Georgie.
The team also revealed an exciting ‘special themes night’ that promises a diverse array of activities, featuring six unique jersey games. This event will celebrate the championship-winning teams, with opportunities to see the Memorial Cup and the Gilles-Courteau Trophy on display.
“Our plan is to have them here throughout the season at different points for fans to look up the names that are on those cups and just enjoy having them back in the City of Champions in Saint John, New Brunswick,” added Georgie.
