Provincial party leaders have confirmed plans to talk about women’s economic issues this month.
The New Brunswick Coalition for Pay Equity has partnered with the New Brunswick Multicultural Council, New Brunswick Common Front for Social Justice, Human Development Council and New Brunswick’s Child Care Now to host a forum.
As of Wednesday, the Green Party, NDP and Liberals have confirmed their attendance on Oct. 11. They are still awaiting a response from the Progressive Conservative Party.
The following issues will be addressed:
- Early learning and childcare services
- Integration of racialized women in the job market
- Minimum wage
- Pay equity
The forum will be held from noon to 1:30 pm at the Delta Beausejour in Moncton.
