The Saint John Police Force is seeking the community’s help in finding Ryan Marr-Melanson, who is currently wanted under a Canada-wide warrant.
A warrant was issued on Friday after he failed to comply with his statutory release by not reporting to the Community Correctional Centre in Saint John as required.
Police describe Marr-Melanson as standing at 5’5″, weighing 178 pounds, and having brown hair, and blue eyes.
His tattoos include a “skull with cap” on his right upper arm, “Led Zeppelin symbols” on his right forearm, “Budweiser” on his right wrist, “MARR” on his left hand, and a “broken whiskey bottle” on his left calf.
Officers stated the 33-year-old is serving a sentence of four years, one month and 24 days for various offences, including:
- Schedule I/II substance for trafficking
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 (x2)
- Motor vehicle theft
- Dangerous operation conveyance
- Flight from a peace officer
- Possession of a firearm knowing it was unauthorized (x2)
- possession of a weapon contrary to the prohibition order
- Theft under $5,000
- Obstruct public/peace officer
- Offences under provincial statutes of N.B.
Authorities are advising the public to steer clear of the suspect.
