The HubCap Comedy Festival is marking a funny bone milestone with its 25th anniversary.
The festival is bringing laughter to Greater Moncton once again this winter.
Robert Gallant, the general manager of the HubCap Comedy Festival, has been with the event for 23 of its 25 years.
“Nothing warms our hearts more than hearing the roars of laughter and seeing smiling faces at all our shows,” Gallant said.
This year’s lineup includes a mix of returning favourites and new faces, with performances in both French and English.
Gallant and his team are preparing to welcome everyone to what they hope will be the best festival yet.
“It’s hard to believe we’ve grown into such a huge festival,” He said
The festival has expanded from 15 shows to 40, attracting some of the best headliners across Canada.
“We built it on quality, and I think that’s why we’re here 25 years later,” Gallant said
Gallant spoke about the importance of laughter, especially during the winter months.
“It’s great, even on the mental health side, to just get out with friends and family, have a good laugh, and lighten the mood,” he said
One of the highlights of this year’s festival will be six fan-favorite comedians from the past 25 years.
In addition, the festival will include a variety of comedy club-style shows held in local bars, providing something for everyone.
This year’s festival will have shows from January 22 to February 1.
