After a welcoming drop earlier this week, gas prices in New Brunswick are back on the rise—though some changes are less dramatic.
Overnight, the Energy and Utilities Board made its regular adjustments, setting new maximum prices across the province.
Maximum prices for regular self-serve gas went up nearly six cents to $1.49 per litre.
Diesel prices, however, dropped one cent, now sitting at $1.60 per litre.
The price of home heating oil stayed unchanged, holding at $1.50 per litre.
Earlier this week, New Brunswickers saw fuel prices drop following the removal of the carbon price on Monday night.
This adjustment brought about an impressive drop—20 cents per litre for gasoline and nearly 25 cents per litre for diesel—bringing much-needed relief to residents.
In Nova Scotia, regular self-serve ranges from $1.49 to $1.53 per litre while diesel is selling for between $1.61 and $1.65 per litre.
On Prince Edward Island, the price for regular self-serve is around $1.54 per litre, diesel costs around $1.62 per litre and home heating oil is selling for a maximum of $1.23 per litre.
