Two Acadia Broadcasting journalists are among the finalists for the 2024 Atlantic Journalism Awards.
New Brunswick anchor Tara Clow and Nova Scotia anchor Caitlin Snow are in the running for best radio newscast.
Clow’s cast focused on a scorching heat wave impacting much of New Brunswick in June.
The cast submitted by Snow also had a weather focus — a holiday storm approaching in December.
The winners will be announced during a gala ceremony in Halifax on June 7.
The Atlantic Journalism Awards honours journalistic excellence and achievement in print and electronic news in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador.
Judging is conducted by independent panels of judges. Hundreds have been recognized since the inception of the awards in 1981.
