Get ready for some pain at the pumps ahead of the Victoria Day long weekend.
An industry source says gasoline and diesel prices are both heading up on Thursday night.
The maximum price for both fuels is expected to increase by around six cents per litre.
Maximum prices currently hover at around $1.40 per litre for both regular self-serve gasoline and diesel.
In Nova Scotia, regular self-serve ranges from $1.39 to $1.43 per litre while diesel is selling for between $1.33 and $1.37 per litre.
On Prince Edward Island, the price for regular self-serve is around $1.46 per litre, diesel costs around $1.46 per litre and home heating oil is selling for a maximum of $1.05 per litre.
The New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board adjusts prices every Friday at 12:01 a.m.
