Three police officers in Moncton were killed in a deadly shooting 11 years ago on Wednesday.
24-year-old Justin Bourque left his home on June 4, 2014, with a rifle and a goal to shoot police officers.
He killed Fabrice Gévaudan, age 45, Douglas Larche, 40, and David Ross, 32.
Two other officers, Darlene Goguen and Eric Dubois, were wounded.
On Wednesday morning in Moncton, New Brunswick RCMP gathered at the three statues of the fallen officers, along with some colleagues, family and friends.
“We are forever thankful for their service and sacrifice,” the police wrote in a social media post.
