Eleven educators in the anglophone sector are being recognized for their outstanding work.
The teachers, principals and early childhood educators have received the Minister’s Excellence in Education Awards.
The honours are granted to those who have made significant contributions to the advancement of education by showcasing remarkable dedication, leadership, passion and commitment.
Education and Early Childhood Minister Claire Johnson handed out the awards during a ceremony in Fredericton on Tuesday.
“Your unwavering dedication, passion and innovation continue to inspire students, colleagues and communities. You are the true champions of learning, and today we celebrate your incredible impact,” Johnson said in a news release.
The award recipients are:
Anglophone North School District:
- Ellen Lee, Janeville Elementary School
- Paula Haché, King Street Elementary School
Anglophone South School District:
- Lynn Hayes, Westfield School
- Katrina Lee, Rothesay Elementary School
- Anne Marie Cusack, Saint Rose School
Anglophone East School District:
- Patty Bass, Frank L. Bowser School
- Jaime Hunter, Birchmount School
- Andrew Colpitts, Riverview High School
Anglophone West School District:
- MacKenzie Bell, Devon Middle School
