Four new officers have joined the ranks of the Saint John Police Force.
A swearing-in ceremony for the new recruits was held on Friday afternoon.
They are Constables Matthew Watson, Keyla Nerys, Cayla Chesser and Rodrigo Silva.
Chief Robert Bruce said they are proud to welcome the four individuals to the force.
“Each of them brings a uniqueness that will have a positive impact on our service delivery as we continue to focus on community engagement and keeping our city safe, secure and healthy.” Bruce said in a news release.
The new officers were selected by the recruitment team and sponsored to go to the Atlantic Police Academy, where they recently completed six months of training.
Two of the members began their journey by attending the force’s inclusion and diversity recruitment camps in 2024.
