RCMP said officers arrested a man from Elsipogtog First Nation later that same day.
A 26-year-old appeared in court on Wednesday and was charged with five offences:
- failure or refusal to comply with demand
- accident resulting in death (alcohol)
- operating a motor vehicle while suspended
- failure to stop after an accident resulting in death
- operation while impaired
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to return to court at a later date.
