A mixed-use development with nearly 1,300 residential units is being proposed in the town of Rothesay.
It would be located on nearly 23 hectares of land bounded by Campbell, Millennium and Wedgewood drives.
The proposal would include 16 four-storey buildings, with seven of them having ground-floor commercial space.
There would also be stacked townhouse units and single-detached lots closer to the existing single-unit dwellings along Wedgewood Drive.
In total, the project proposes a total of 1,277 dwelling units spread across the four-storey buildings, townhouse units and single-detached lots.
Officials said the land is zoned Millennium Park Zone, which allows for commercial and residential uses.
However, the applicant would need to enter into a development agreement with council before the work could proceed.
They will present their development proposal to the public during a meeting at the Wells Community Centre at 7 p.m. Monday.
Written comments will be received by the town clerk until July 16 by emailing rothesay@rothesay.ca. Comments will be provided to council at the Aug. 11 meeting.
