Education Minister and Fredericton West-Hanwell MLA Dominic Cardy had a hard time getting the word out about the only two new schools included in the capital budget.
Cardy was drowned out more than once while announcing over 5 million dollars for a K to 8 school in Hanwell, just outside Fredericton and new francophone K to 8 school in Moncton.
He drew jeers when he referred to the government’s commitment to getting the politics out of education funding.
Speaker Daniel Guitard eventually had to step in and ask for order.
“I’m excited for the constituents of my riding of Fredericton West Hanwell, who will finally get a new school in their community.”
Isn’t it funny that the NBM and SJHS funding is cut in my riding when @DominicCardy gets a new school. What a complete hypocrite. #nbpoli
