Cattle rustling might not seem like something that happens in New Brunswick but the St. Leonard detachment of the West District RCMP is investigating a case of exactly that.
Police say that sometime during the week of August 21 two cows were stolen from a farm in the village of Caron Brook. They’re also investigating two other incidents involving farm animals in Haut-Madawaska.
Near the end of August, two farm animals from a farm in the village of Clair were shot and injured. Between September 7 and September 9 a cow was shot and killed at a farm in the village of St. Francois. Police say it’s unknown right now if these incidents are related.
If you know anything about these incidents you’re asked to contact RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
